I am a Habilative Trainer at a group home for special needs adults. They are all level 4/5. It has been the most rewarding job, working has become the highlight of my day. I only have one day off, and even on that day I'm always willing to come in. My kids have changed my outlook in life and I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to not only teach them but learn from them as well. I also have an 11-year-old little brother with Down syndrome who is my very best friend! We do everything together, We love going bowling, going for walks, swimming, feeding ducks at the lake, reading books and going to movies! I also have been a peer tutor all year, every year of my high school career. I worked with kids of all different abilities, from Williams syndrome, to deaf children, to children with muscular dystrophy. Although sometimes stressful, it was always my absolute favorite part of the day! I love children and have a soft spot in my heart for any person, young or old, with any sort of disability!
