I am 28 years old and hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Studies. I have worked in childcare over the past 10 years with children of various ages (infant-12 years) in several different settings including child care centers, schools, summer camp, and home settings as a teacher, nanny, and caregiver. As a nanny, I have engaged children in playtime and activities at the home, taken to classes, activities, and parks on top of feeding, changing, potty training, and creating a nap routine. I have also worked in a couple childcare centers as an infant/toddler and preschool teacher, substituted at elementary/middle schools, and worked with 6-year-old campers at a summer camp. My teaching experiences are an asset to me as a nanny, as I have knowledge of childhood development and can plan age appropriate activities. I believe that creating structure and routine in a child's life is important in preparing them for school and the future. Working with children is a passion of mine and a job that I enjoy spending my time doing! It is very rewarding to know that I am aiding in children's growth and learning. I think that my personality helps me to work well with children and families as I am responsible, reliable, mature, nurturing, energetic, friendly, and warm. I am currently working full time (9-5) with a family that I have been with for the past 2 1/2 years, but we will be parting in a month as the youngest child prepares for preschool in the fall. I am looking for another full time nanny position to begin in July. My present employer may be contacted for a reference.
