We're living in some tough times. With school remote, or distanced, or otherwise altered, a lot of young students are struggling, academically, socially, emotionally. I'd really like to help.
I am a Stanford graduate, and current masters student of counseling psychology. I have 7 years experience working as a tutor and childcare provider, and 2 years of experience as a social worker. I'm mental health first aid certified, and bring lots of informed social/emotional practice to my work with kids - something, I think, particularly important in these times.
I pride myself on providing care and education that goes above and beyond. I am patient, outgoing and fun, believe in kind but honest boundary-setting, and value thoughtful communication. I bring a creative set of educational tools: a background in both science and art, a love for at-home experimental and experiential learning, and adaptive, tested study strategies and skills.
I'm more than happy to provide local references.
