Hello, my name is Fernando and I have been a Nursing Assistant since 2010. Care giving to some extent comes naturally to me. When I was younger my great grandmother who was blind would come to visit and I would be right there by her side helping her get around. Fast Forward to 2010, I got my first job in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in North Carolina. I was able to gain a great deal of experience from that job as it had acute, long-term, and Alzheimer's care. About 2yrs later I began working at a continuing care facility. I then moved to Atlanta, GA, and worked at an assisted living community where I was quickly promoted to be a Med Tech. While working there I decided to work with patients in their 30's with special needs, privately. In 2018, I was given the opportunity to become a live-in caregiver in Los Angeles to a patient in their 90's. Come May 1st my hrs with them will go down to 28 a week.
