I am a 25-year-old student who is currently attending college courses at Keiser University. I am taking all online courses for an associate's degree in criminal justice and hope to graduate in 2016. As someone who has a learning disability and struggle with many things in my life, I have overcome so many obstacles, which have helped me succeed in what I have accomplished. Currently, I pick kids up from school, help them with their homework, and take them to their sport practices as needed. For the past 5 years and counting, I am a volunteer firefighter and really enjoy helping individuals out in every way that I can. In March (2015), I will be getting re-certified in CPR; which will be good for two years. A few years ago, I took a couple of course at Bergen Community College and one of those courses was American Sign Language. I wouldn't say I am 100% fluent in ASL, but with the course and having a friend who is Deaf, I am always learning and practicing my sign language. My references are available upon request.
