I have had the pleasure of taking care of children with special needs through my old job and simple life experience! I worked for Peyton Manning Children's Hospital where I worked directly under physicians who were board certified in genetics and endocrinology! On the endocrinology side, we saw kids with diabetes (T1 &T2), thyroid abnormalities, and other diagnoses. We hosted a Down Syndrome clinic monthly and saw patients with different abnormalities daily. We did genetic and developmental testing. This experience taught me an unexplainable amount about kids with special needs! Kids with special needs require special caretakers as well, and I am fully confident your child would be in the best hands. On the endocrinology side, we saw kids with diabetes, thyroid abnormalities, and other diagnoses.
