Hi! I'm Erica and I'm 27 years old. I have worked as a Direct Support Personnel (DSP) at a group home for adults with developmental disabilities for 4 years. Previously I had cared for a family member with down syndrome and volunteered in numerous Special Olympics events. My previous job includes assisting with bathing, hygiene, and dressing; Also, administering medication, preparing and assisting with meal time, performing daily programs which help economic, social, and self-care skills, and assisting in night time routines. The facility had 16 residents and between them I'd acquired experience in transferring and re-positioning in wheelchairs, respiratory care, seizure care, mental health care, and behavior management. I also have experience working with young children. I'm currently pursuing my degree in special education and am a stay at home mom. I am available for overnight hours in your home or day time hours in my home.
