I have know Emma since she was born. She has always seemed to be different in that she was more mature, more thoughtful, than most girls her age. She had been very driven and focused: camp and then a counselor on the CA coast, huge roles in plays at school, very involved with different organizations at school, well-liked and respected by her peers and teachers (her speech was chosen as the only one to be read at graduation other than the class officers) Etc. She is just a great overall kid! Our son is almost 20 and autistic and Emma has always been very kind and friendly towards him. When he was younger many kids avoided him but Emma was always right there talking to him and engaging him.
