Meet Emily
The first thing potential employers need to know is a change of status as of June 2015. Until further notice I am currently available for a part-time private nanny position ONLY in the Coburg Road and Cal Young area where I plan to BIKE or BUS. Although I hadn't pre-planned this, when my automobile underwent a catastrophic failure I thought about it, and I have decided to join those who are concerned about global warming and have chosen to no longer drive an automobile.
I do have a perfect driving record and am capable of driving a stick shift or an automatic. I have worked for professional families who had me transport the kids in the family car and I never failed to deliver the children to their destinations safely and on time always.
This last school year of 2014-1015 I was an on-call sub at the Child and Family Center which was loads of fun. I am very in tune with and attentive to the needs and temperaments of infants and tots. I also like to help the elementary ages with homework. I have certification as a reading specialist and years of experience as a Montessori trained teacher.
I also have current background checks from the state, the country, and even from the "feds" (required for teaching in Head Start programs). The first background check with the State of Oregon, was granted to me in the early 90's and was a requirement when I taught "Sunday School" at Eugene Faith Center.
I have an Oregon Registry background check in place. I also have a plus level 8 on the ORO out of Portland State which is an accrediting agency verifying experience and continuing education in formal workshops and lectures etc. for childcare workers in Oregon. What this means to you is that I am a "professional nanny" in experience and education. I know what's expected of me to support your family's childcare priorities and your children's well being at all times.
I would be honored to hear from you.

Emily was wonderful. We needed last minute nanny care for a week in Oregon, and she promptly replied and could be there that day. She was fantastic with our daughter, bringing all sorts of crafts and books for her to play with and read. We felt very comfortable with her being with her and if we are in Oregon again, we will definitely see if she's available. Anyone is lucky to have her as a nanny. She's fantastic. Posted Oct 22, 2014
