Emily was a live-in aide for my mother for two months until I had to put my mother in the dementia unit of a senior facility because of financial reasons. Emily was absolutely wonderful. Most importantly, Emily was a wonderful caregiver. She was very attentive to all of my mother's needs and cared for her in a very tender, loving and patient way. My mother suffered from advanced dementia, was barely able to walk and was often obnoxious. In order to take care of my mother, sometimes Emily needed to do some very unpleasant tasks. Throughout all of this, Emily was able to handle everything very well while maintaining a very happy and relaxed demeanor. Unfortunately, the previous aide left the house in deplorable condition. Emily quickly got the house very clean and neat and kept it that way. She kept my mother and her clothing very clean, too. I found that communicating with Emily was very easy. She has a very good command of both the spoken and written English language. Whether we spoke on the phone or emailed, it was easy to understand her. Emily has so many other wonderful qualities, too. She is intelligent, mature and shows excellent judgment. She was strong enough to assist my mother physically, even as my mother declined physically. She was trustworthy and honest. We were extremely fortunate to have had Emily care for my mother and can give her my highest recommendation. P.S. I am not a person who gives praise unless it is warranted, and I would not have submitted this reference if I did not have the utmost respect and appreciation for the services of Emilia (Emily). I would highly recommend her.
