I can help you with errands, hygiene/dressing, respite for other family members, temporary or long term, joyful companionship, bathing, cooking, laundry, shopping, blood sugar checks, expert on medication set-up, light housekeeping, doctor's appointments and am very skilled to pick up on any medical problems going on, etc. I have had special training with dementia and Alzheimer's and worked on a locked unit for many years. Liz cared for my parents (98 & 89) and their little dog in their home for over a year. She generally worked a 9:00-1:00 schedule 7 days a week, which was very helpful for consistency of care (and hard to find). Dad passed in June and in his final 6 weeks had to move to assisted living. Liz was flexible and spent time in the morning with mom at the house and then went to the care home to monitor Dad and have lunch with him every day, which took huge stress off of Mom. Liz was very good at keeping me informed of any issues or concerns and truly cared deeply for both of them. She is kind and compassionate. She provided transportation as needed and ran errands as they did not drive any more. Mom has advancing Alzheimer's and Liz was great with medication management, reminder notes, and helping her keep a schedule.
