I started watching and tending to children when I was 14, which included infant/toddlers mostly. I now have 3 boys of my own (2 have had special needs, heart issues). I am sad to say they are growing way to quickly and are becoming young men taking care of them selves. I enjoy helping children learn new things and introducing them to new activities. whether it be reading , writing, ABC's, basic math (sorry my kids have out done me in math already...), etc. I like to get them involved in things like scavenger hunts, coloring, drawing, and others and find out what they enjoy doing and learning. I spent a lot of time with my children teaching them before they even went to head start/preschool. I like to believe it gave them a good head start to who and what they are and what they are able to accomplish on their own now. They are in middle school advanced/gifted programs. I can do indoor/outdoor activities. Go on adventures, help them gain knowledge and have fun doing it.
