This is my 12th year in the world of disability, and I cannot imagine myself anywhere else. My experience began in high school, where I was a special recreation camp counselor and member of my local Best Buddies chapter. In college, I continued those involvements, while also conducting research on autism spectrum disorder and how to promote better health outcomes for women with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I spent my summers working with children and young adults with disabilities in Oregon, Thailand, and Chicago. After college, I worked full-time at Best Buddies International before pursuing graduate school in Special Education at Vanderbilt. I recently graduated with my M. Ed. and K-12 Special Education teaching certification. Above all, I am passionate about helping people with disabilities (and their families) live full, enviable lives. I look forward to talking with you!

She is my son's "Best Buddie" through a Best Buddies program. She has been a nice friend who meet up with my son over weekends and attends some fun parties, in addition to their regular monthly group get together. My son cherishes the friendship and they regularly contact each other on the phone.
