Before our first lesson with her, Elizabeth showed great interest in learning about the student and in understanding the goals and purpose of the lessons. She sent a diagnostic test for the student to work on in order to gauge the student's level, she recommended books and sought advice from external sources to help put together her game plan.
During the first few lessons, Elizabeth made a concerted effort to bond with the student and delve deeply into her personality. She has constantly tried to engage the parent in the process so as to keep them updated as well as to understand the student thoroughly. She is gentle, discerning and insightful; every session is enjoyable and full of learning for the student. She responds promptly to emails. It is evident, from her willingness to invest her own time outside the lesson hour, that she is passionate and deeply committed, and that she's working toward not only developing the student's writing skills but also her holistic growth.
