I am a second year medical student with a BS Degree in Neuroscience. I also have training in both normal and abnormal psychology. For the past three summers, I have worked as a cognitive teacher and sensory-motor coach with an achievement center, working with children and teens with various mental conditions including learning disabilities. The diagnoses that I have gained experience with include learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders and genetic disorders such as Fragile X. My duties included assessing the children, working directly to improve cognitive and motor functioning, assisting with behavior modification and providing social support for parents. I loved working with the kids and got great satisfaction in connecting with them and seeing the progress they made through the work we did together. Prior to college, I gained significant experience in babysitting, so I am accustomed to and comfortable with caring for children of various ages and personalities.

Elizabeth was a cognitive teacher in the Brain Balance Center when I took over as the new Director. She was absolutely essential in the transition period because she recognized both the needs of the students and the needs of the center itself. Her abilities in the clinical/educational areas were fantastic, but it was her ability to move seamlessly into administrative roles with me that made her more valuable than anyone I could have hoped for. There is not a position in business, education, or law (my areas of work) that I would not hire Elizabeth for. Literally not a single one.
