About Elise

While pursuing my BA at The University of Akron, I would provide weekend and evening child care for local families. After graduation in 2013, I was hired as a full-time nanny for a family and their 3-month-old daughter. It was my greatest joy to watch her grow, and then her brother too, as I cared for them and their home for nearly seven years. I left in the summer of 2019 to pursue a position at a local independent school, Old Trail. My philosophies, focus and teaching style were each highlighted by their mission. The school, located in a national park, and the only one of its kind, holds in high regard the importance of outdoor exploration, hiking, exercise and the mental health of each of their students. As a nanny, deeply involved in daily activities and development, I am passionate about the conscious and present understanding of the complex emotions of children. Always patience, always kindness.
