I am currently a caregiver under the ABI Waiver for a young man with whom I have worked for 11 years. I will be continuing to provide care for him for 25 hours weekly, but am interested in additional part time work up to an additional 25 hours weekly. In addition to standard care duties (bathing, toileting, meal prep, and transferring), I also administer insulin injections as well as other (oral) medications. I am ILST certified and also provide life skills training both inside and outside the home. I am compassionate, and understanding and always treat people with respect.

I am writing to recommend Dwaine for the position of PT caregiver. I have been his supervisor for over 10 years as part of the support staff for a 31 year old man who is both physically and mentally handicapped. In addition to seeing to Dean s physical needs, Dwaine has established a wonderful rapport with Dean that has resulted in Dean s being able to learn some life skills that have been an ongoing struggle for him. Dwaine is kind, compassionate, and trustworthy and I recommend him without reservation.
