About Douglas
I have been a private tutor since 1998 and am a Wesleyan University graduate. I provide online tutoring to students enrolled in full or partial remote learning plans. I cover multiple subjects (including English, Elementary Math, and Algebra I), test preparation (including the ISEE, SHSAT, PSAT, and SSAT), and English as a Second Language (ESL) for children and adults. For six years, I taught writing proficiency and math at an after-school tutoring center to students of various ages. To aid in my English and ESL tutoring, I draw on my years of experience editing novels, graduate-level research papers, and news stories for broadcast on commercial radio and television stations.

Douglas, has been tutoring my daughter all summer in writing and math. We are very please with the outcome and experience. My daughter can easily get distracted and Douglas was great at redirecting her back on the task, and getting her to focus to finish her work. I definitely would recommend him as a tutor.
