To shortly introduce myself, my name is Destiny I am a recent college graduate from Florida International University. I majored in psychology with a specialty in childhood development. My passion for working with special needs children stems from having a close family member on the spectrum. I have been volunteering with special needs children since I was in high school where I worked as a counselor of the Samuel Field YMCA with their after school program. There I organized activities, helped with basic social and education skills reinforcement, and some light tutoring. when I entered college and throughout, my undergraduate degree I also volunteered with Nicholas Children's Hospital with their special needs program. After graduating I got a job as a home school teacher in a no child left behind program where I have been tutoring both children with and without special needs while they complete virtual school. I want to continue to gain experience while finishing my master's degree
