Since retiring from a health insurance company after 25 years, I took CNA training and became board certified in June 2010. Since then I have kept busy caring for disabled and elderly people. My most recent assignment is an elderly couple in Powhatan, Va. They require 12 hour a day care and I provide that in addition to coordinating a care team of three. I began working with this couple on a very limited basis shortly after certification and have increased my time with them as their care needs have ballooned.

Debbie was wonderful. She was very concerned that she do what would be the most helpful for my mother. She was patient and kind and offered helpful suggestions based on her time with my mother. Just a very nice person who wants to help in any way she can.
