I'm Darienne. My entire life has been centered around my 15-year-old brother with both autism and down syndrome. I have volunteered at 4 different schools, taken part in therapy, learning, education, eating disabilities, and finding the solutions of communicating with children of these needs. I was also a role model for 3 years at a school for where typical kids and special needs kids work together in the same classroom on fine motor skills. My brother to this day can barely say a full sentence, but yet, I have a bond where we are able to communicate in different ways that work.
