My name is Daniel Thompson. I am a 20-year-old student at Concorde Career College in the Medical Assistant program. This summer for three months May 2011-August 2011 I was a camp counselor at Camp Courageous of Iowa which is a camp for kids and adults with special needs. While there I worked with campers with all different types of disabilities. I also learned how to provide personal care for them whether it be helping feed them or changing them or helping them take a shower or go to the bathroom. I did it all. I loved being there with them so much. I woke up everyday ready to show them how much I cared about them. I am First-Aid and CPR certified.
