I am thoroughly experienced as an educator, having worked at both the Boston Nature Center and the Maria Mitchell Association Summer Discovery Program as an environmental educator. I planned and executed lesson plans every week, and developed advanced behavior management training from my supervisors at both locations. My style as an educator is high-warm, high-firm, and I typically incorporate creative modes of communication like poetry, painting, or theater into my lessons. I have experience working as a mentor and teacher with children ages 4-18, and I love working with all age groups! I also have experience working with children on the autism spectrum, from when I worked at the Cape Cod Challenger Club in 2015. There, I was trained in de-escalation tactics and crisis intervention protocol. I am a great candidate for parents who want their kids to be taken care of by somebody with humor, creativity, energy, compassion, and a desire to teach young people.
