Helping others to achieve a fulfilling life built off of independence is a driving force in my career and personal life. I have over a decade of experience of direct support work (with both children and adults), and a strong desire to help foster and grow a life full of happiness, and acceptance. I worked in the Cherry Creek School District with elementary school kiddos as a para, as well as day programs and group homes as a DSP. I greatly enjoy using art, music, and playtime to build skills with my clients. Working with individuals that are disabled and autistic is the highest passion in my life. I am a firm believer in self-advocacy and self-agency and I enjoy assisting the development of life skills in fun, compassionate, and productive ways. Currently, I am a last year student at UMGC, working towards a degree in Psychology. I plan on enrolling in grad school to become a LCSW. I am currently seeking an opportunity to use my education and experience to support and benefit others.

We had the opportunity to interview Daniel by zoom. He had all the right things to say and was actually very nice to talk to. We did discuss honesty and how we appreciate it. He too said he appreciated honesty. We we're going to have him come by for a personal interview and gave him our phone number so that he could text us his information and we can send him our address. Well low and behold, he did not send us his information, so apparently honesty really doesn't mean much. I did try to contact him by care.com and also sent him a private email. He has not responded nor has he called us to let us know that he is not interested in the position. Such a shame because he was a nice young man to have a conversation with.
