I am a single mom of 4 children and looking for another part time job. I currently work part time as a caregiver for Home Instead and attend CPCC. I just completed the Healthcare Activity Director Course and am currently continuing my education to become a certified Activity Professional. I am a very compassionate person. I can honestly say I love my job. It is not an easy job and I am certainly not going to get rich by doing it, but it makes it all worth the while when your client turns to you and thanks you for taking such good care of them. I do my best to offer the best quality of life for people and respect their wishes. I currently do my preceptorship and volunteer at Lake Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Indian Trail, NC. I am now qualified to work as an Activity Director in North and South Carolina. As an Activity Professional, I joined the Metrolina Activity Professionals Association and North Carolina Activity Professional Association, and I will be broadening my education through the workshops they have to offer. I am also registered to take a workshop on April 19, 2012 through the Alzheimer Association. As a professional, I want to be an active member of the Alzheimer Association. My career goal is to continue my education through CPCC and become a certified Activity Director through the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals.
