Inviting energy and genuine interest and care in people regardless of how long I've known them. I've grown up around friends and family members with disability and health support needs and have additionally served as a camp counselor for youth and adults living with a variety of special needs and in an independent living home with residents living with traumatic brain injuries. My experience is personal, professional and quite diverse, and I draw on my experiences to help navigate new ones. However, what my experiences have taught me is that when you care for someone else, regardless of what I think I know, they know better what is needed and works best for them. So I also listen well and am open to learn.
