I have been caring for and working around kids and adults for a little over 20 years. I started when I was young, caring for my younger siblings, then years later I worked in more formal childcare settings such as the daycare at my local church and even a few agencies that specialized in childcare for children with special needs. I also have a younger sibling with special needs and have experienced several facets of what that entails throughout the years. My degree is in American Sign Language interpreting and am fluent in ASL. I have been working at the Texas school for the Blind and Visually impaired for the past 3 years working with students aged 12-22 with multiple disabilities and have learned so much from them. I have also worked privately with adults with multiple disabilities and am comfortable learning how to accommodate for their specific needs. I am a positive and outgoing person, I handle stressful situations well, and I have unending patience.
