Hello! My name is Colleen and I am 24 years old. In addition to babysitting, I have been involved with special populations and elder care for the past 10 years. I have volunteered at sleep-away summer camps for children with physical & developmental disabilities. Throughout high school and my undergraduate studies, I continued this path of volunteering. I developed a love and passion for working with this population, and went on to get my degree in Rehab Services. I completed my internship (and was hired on upon completion) at Rehab and Nursing, where I worked with Alzheimer's and dementia. In July of 2017, I was hired on at Specialized Training for Adult Rehabilitation in Murphysboro as a Community Day Services Case Manager. I am both DSP and QIDP certified, and have current CPR and CPI certifications. I have also worked at a CILA, where I was certified to pass medication. I absolutely love this field of caring for others, as it truly is not work to me.
