Hola, My name is Claudia. I am originally from Lima, Peru, so I am fluent in Spanish. Currently, during the school year, I'm a Teacher's Assistant over at West Hartford PS, but like many, I'm temporarily on a hiatus. My highest level of Education is from the University of New Haven, where I received an M. S. in Education and a K-6th Teacher's Certification. In the past 7 years, I have worked diligently with children, whether it be through Education, babysitting, Before & After School Programming, or Summer Camp. I have worked at Meriden PS, New Haven PS and currently West Hartford PS, in numerous positions including Tutor, Intern, Substitute Teacher and Teacher's Assistant. Through, the Boys & Girls Club of Meriden, for the past 7 years I have grown from Assistant Teacher to now Director of Summer Camp for the past 5 years. In sum, I am an energetic, enthusiastic and well-rounded individual Interested in a rewarding position with a family in need of childcare.

Claudia cared for our three children (7, 5, and 3) for a year. She supported them through remote learning and always came up with fun and creative ways to keep them entertained and engaged. She was very active with the kids, taking them outside and to local parks. Claudia did an excellent job of communicating with us. She became part of our family!
