I have a great deal of experience working with children, adolescents, and teens. I worked as a swim instructor, where I specialized in special needs children. If I was put in the pool with a frightened child, I could get them swimming, confidently. additionally, I have worked as a Personal Assistant to a man with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Disabilities, ADHD, and Cerebral Palsy. I practiced Positive Behavior Support with him. I also have an uncle who is quadriplegic. I go to visit him occasionally, and stay overnight, often for multiple days at a time. There, I help him in his daily needs- drive us places, feed him, put him to bed, using a lift system... Overall, I have a love for reaching an individual on their level, and learning their myriad idiosyncrasies, and what makes them smile. I have various state certifications, and am also happy to submit to any background checks!
