Hello, my name is Cindy and I am extremely interested in working for you and your family. I am presently employed as a substitute teacher for the Buncombe County School System, so I have been drug tested and my background check is current. Prior to re-entering the work force, I home schooled my three children. Through my experience as a home school parent I became involved with many of the resources in our community aimed at the growth and development of our youth. I ran a hiking and backpacking club, so I am familiar with many trails in the area. In the summers I run the waterfront program for Camp Gwynn Valley in Brevard, a camp for children ages 5-14. I am responsible for training the lifeguards and staff, programming the classes and activities, and organizing in-service training. I have numerous Red Cross certifications which include CPR-PRO, AED, Wilderness First Aid, Lifeguard Instructor, Lifeguard, and Water Safety Instructor.
