I love working with children no matter who they are or if they are considered to have special needs. I have a younger cousin with autism, and I babysit her and love just being around her. I will be doing respite care for her and some other families this summer, so that will be a great learning experience. I have watched the little girl before so I have that experience. I have also worked at the YMCA for four years, and have had some special needs children come through that I have stepped up to make sure they are comfortable and happy. I love making sure they know they are safe, and so they know they can come to me with any issues.
