My passion for working with children with special needs began when I first started volunteering in a hospital. Here, I worked with an amazing group of children, each with their own unique personality and challenges. I enjoyed seeing them grow and develop with every day. I then got involved in more work with children with special needs, including volunteering, starting a group at my high school, beginning a position as a paraprofessional therapist and caregiver for a family, and getting involved in my college's chapter of organization. I have worked for the past two years in a nursing home as a nurses aide so I am very comfortable with medical care as well. I am a recent graduate of the university with a double major in Human Health Sciences and Psychology and I will be starting my Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in autism in the fall of 2019.
