Autumn 2020 is my 10th in public education. My first six were in Chicago teaching literature at the HS level. SY 2017, I was in Madrid, Spain teaching English at a more basic level, and 2018-20 I was teaching Spanish. I'm currently enrolled in a graduate program working on my ESL degree and have been studying phonics and morphology. Although most of my career has been spent with middle - high school students, I have a fun demeanor that kids engage with and I have copies strategies to reach a younger audience.
In university I was a staff tutor that worked with undergraduates to doctoral candidates. In addition, I coordinated ACT prep for 240 students, built curriculum for the Cambridge PET exam, and have given private lessons to English and Spanish learners, and ACT candidates.
In my personal time: you can find me exercising and listening to podcasts! And if you can't find me (pre-covid-19), I'd be off traveling and volunteering and learning about the environment!
