My name is Christina and I have been babysitting for families since I was considered old enough to do so. I do it because I love kids. I enjoy teaching children and watching them grow. Some of my favorite activities with kids include baking, arts and crafts, exploring outside, singing songs, dancing, and playing games. Through Care. com, I have worked with over 10 families, most on an as-needed basis, however, I have worked as a nanny for three families for an extended period of time. While I lived in San Antonio, Texas, I worked during college with a family with three children (ages 10, 7, and 3) for six months, Monday - Friday in the afternoons. After graduating from college, I moved to Virginia and worked part-time in Washington, DC, and part-time as a nanny for a family with four children (ages 5, 2, 2, and newborn). The middle children were twins, and since I have twin siblings, I very much enjoyed being around them! I worked with this family for eight months on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. -7 p.m. , and sometimes on weekends. Back in San Antonio for a summer before moving to San Diego, California, I worked for three and a half months with a family with two children (ages 6 and newborn) full-time, Monday through Friday. If you are looking for occasional sitting or a nanny, I would love the chance to meet you and your family!

Christina has been watching my twin daughters since I returned to work a little less than a month ago and she has been a BLESSING. I was anxious to leave my girls but after meeting her, I was able to go to work and not worry about my babies. As another reviewer mentioned, she really does love kids; even though my girls are only 4 months old, she finds things to do with them and they are happy around her. We will be moving at the end of this month and, as crazy as this sounds, I had the opportunity to stop working but I offered to stay 3 more weeks because Christina has been so great. Some small examples of Christina's excellence: We cloth diaper and while I did not mention removing the inserts from the dirty diapers, she offered to do it - it's a silly detail, but I loved that she was kind enough to offer to do the stinky job. I was also pleasantly surprised one day when she mentioned that she had noticed one of my girls hadn't had a bowel movement while she was caring for them - I'm not sure if that's something that I would have noticed when I baby-sat, but it was another reason why we trust her with our girls, she's aware of them, right down to their BM's! There are so many more reasons she has been an amazing caregiver, I can honestly say that anyone who is fortunate to have her will not be disappointed.
