Hi, My name is Christina and I worked at The Lighthouse for the Blind in SC for 2 yrs. I recently moved here in March from SC. The Lighthouse was the first organization to come to SC to help those with Blind, Blind/Deaf disabilities. It was the most rewarding job I ever had. My husband received a promotion and I had to leave the Lighthouse, But, in my time there I realized this is what I want to do. I had 9 Blind/Deaf individuals (4 individuals that were completely blind, 4 individuals that were legally blind, and 1 that was legally blind and deaf. I helped them with mobility , CCTV, IPhones, Learning to move around a Computer. Training in manufacturing to produce parts for Aviation and the Military and in Lean Manufacturing. blind awareness and mobility training 3 days June 2017. I learned so much from them.
