I have thoroughly enjoyed working with children professionally over the past 8 years, and helping each child grow and develop in their own unique way. I have a published book which highlights the important aspects of child and adolescent development, and have the energy and interest to keep up with many eager young minds. I am an actress and love interactive play, as well as imaginative and exploration learning. In addition to the intangible, I also have the hard numbers of experience and qualification. I have a Bachelor's in Childhood Education and Earth Science and a Master's Degree in Student Affairs Administration and Business. I have worked as a K-12 teacher, and was the Director of Curriculum and Personnel for a children's science program, which required me to develop curriculum, instruct classes, and train educators on a variety of educational materials. Part of this curriculum development was ensuring that the information was accessible to over 200 children across a variety of age groups and abilities, including accommodating special needs. I have over 1, 500 hours of tutoring experience in a variety of subjects including math, sciences, social sciences, and writing; and have been honored with awards and recognition for my services. I was most recently the Director of Student Affairs for the Southwest School of Art, working with students to help them achieve success in and out of the classroom, and I currently instruct workshops for youth as a Writer.
