I have 8 younger cousins that currently range from 6 months to 14 years old, and I have been caring for them on my own part-time since they were born. I am extremely comfortable with children of all ages. I now have a step-son who is 9-years-old; he lives with myself and my husband full-time. He is on the Autism Spectrum, so I am very well-versed in caring for children with special needs. I also have my bachelors degree in Psychology from Vanderbilt University, where I focused on Child Development and Autism. I am extremely patient, and I love focusing on educational play. I am able to teach, tutor, help with homework, as well as conducting various arts and crafts, safe science experiments, pool time, athletics, and reading time. I believe in limiting electronic usage in favor of active play, and would incorporate many different techniques in order to keep your children engaged and learning, all while having fun.
