I have been in the geriatric industry for approximately 30 years in many different venues. I have done private duty, come and go, as well as live in. In both scenarios I was referred. I received a 2 year Medical Assistant certificate in 1979 at Auburn Career Center in Chardon, Ohio. I have worked in the extended care facilities as a nursing assistant. I have spent a great deal of my career in customer service and sales and marketing within the health care industry. I will include a resume, although you will not see the in home care, because it was back in the early eighties.
At this point you may be wondering why I am choosing to get back into the in home private duty care field? Here's why... I will be going back to school and I need to supplement my income. I love the elderly, and have been very successful in the care of the elderly. I am qualified as a caregiver and some light nursing duties, and most of all to be their best friend!
