I have worked with special needs and medically complex children for over 20 years. I have experience with palliative care and working with terminally ill children. I work as a special needs associate in a junior high school working 1:1 with children diagnosed with Autism, Rett syndrome, Down syndrome and extreme developmental delays. I have worked in the home setting with four children for the past 5 1/2 years. They moved out of state at the end of August. I also have worked off and on with a boy diagnosed with autism for the past 7 years. I worked on community integration, social skills, DLS, and communication, using speech, PECS and a communication device. I have experience with a G-tube, NG tube feedings and medications, nebulizer treatments, seizure disorders, feeding, i-Pad communication, ambulation and building positive relationships. Because I work at a junior high until 2:30, my starting time would depend on your location and the travel time.
