When I first graduated from college, I was unsure of what I wanted to do with my psychology degree. I knew that I loved working with children and always had a special interest in children with special needs, so I decided to pursue those interests. I worked as a behavior therapist for a year with kiddos on the autism spectrum and grew to love it. As time went on, the commute to work was too much for me, so I left and got a job as a preschool teacher. It was there that I was introduced to a little boy that has played a huge role in my life and is the reason why I am currently pursuing my graduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Education. I currently work as a Special Education para professional in a public elementary school and enjoy it greatly. I have learned more from my students then I think I could ever teach them. On top of several years experience working with children with special needs, some other qualifications of mine are that I am trained in ABA, CPR and first aide as well as NAPPI and CPI trained.
