My experience with caring for those with special needs is limited to an extent. During the summer, my mom works at an elementary school teaching kids with special needs. At least once or twice a week I would visit the school to interact, play and teach with them. I have a brother who is diagnosed with cerebral palsy. I have learned to be patient and gentle while working with those with special needs. In the fall of 2015, I plan to attend the University of Central Missouri while majoring in special education. I am currently a high school senior at Lees Summit West.
