My name is Carie. I am a full-time nursing student who is currently off for summer break. I have worked with adults who have developmental disabilities, encouraging them to live independently and assisting in any activities of daily living that helps them to reach their goals. I have been working with them for about a year and half. Part of my job is to help them cook meals, pass medications, assist with hygiene, play games, go on outings, provide emotional support and general housekeeping. I have an 18-month-old daughter and a fiance. We are getting married in October of 2014, so I would love to find a special needs summer position to help out with wedding plans! :)
