Working with children is my passion and have a diverse background in education and child development that I bring to every job. I am the founder and director of Environmental Connections Outdoor School. I spent much of my childhood playing outside in my yard. I loved finding bugs and frogs, and engaging with outdoor spaces. I started volunteering for Wilderness Awareness School at an early age, at which point I discovered my passion for outdoor education. At age 13, I wrote up my first plans for my own nature school. For years, I have dedicated my studies in alternative education techniques, especially multi-age education and Waldorf education. I have instructed and directed for Wilderness Awareness School. I taught at Fremont Community School in Seattle and have completed internships at various public elementary schools and Olympia Community School. I wrote K - 12 science curriculum for NorthWest Trek Wildlife Park. I also worked as an education ranger at Mt. Rainier National Park. I have been babysitting and nannying since before I was 13. I love working with kids on an individual basis. I always bring crafts and activities, and am great at making healthy meals for kids.
