In high school I took a certified nursing assistant course at St. Cloud Technical and Community College. I became certified right when I turned 16 and then began working in a dementia unit at a nursing home. From that unit I moved to the restorative care unit and after working there I found myself at an assisted living facility. Overall I have four years of experience caring for the elderly at all different stages of their lives. I am passionate about caring for the elderly because all of my grandparents died at a very young age. I care for the elderly on a deeper level because I don't have many elderly people in my life. I respect them, and I am committed to making sure they feel important while I'm caring for them.
