While I was studying Elementary Education in college, I tutored for families, as well as, worked with K-8th grade students in after-school programs in Wisconsin. I completed my practicum placements in a 2nd/3rd grade, 6th and 8th grade classroom. After I graduated with my Bachelor's in 2014 I held jobs in youth development, education and non profit management. I've taught ELA to 5th and 6th graders, as well as, substitute taught at the elementary and middle school level. I've developed academic/enrichment programs for students K-8th grade, as well as, coached staff (5+) to facilitate activities in literacy, math, STEM, technology, the arts, sports/recreation, life skills and social development.
I'm currently completing online coursework and classroom observations for my Texas Teaching Certification with the hope of returning to the classroom full-time next Fall.
