I love participating in activities with special needs children. They tend to be the happiest children in the world and it's exciting to watch them achieve their goals in any activity! My mom is administrator of Special Education in Blytheville, AR and I have always helped her in programs such as Special Olympics and other school activities that involve her kids. One example of creativity with an autistic child I came up with was cooking a "snake". He loved reptiles at the time so we created a snake out of crescent rolls and loaded it with pizza filling. We then designed our snakes with food coloring and baked it! It was a great experience for both of us.
