I have been babysitting most of my life, lately I have been looking into the area of children of special needs. I have interned at a preschool for 1 year and have attained my Associate Teaching certificate. My responsibilities include cleaning the play areas, create lesson plans, diapering, feeding, making sure all environments coincide with licensing. I want to be able to enrich my students lives with meaningful emergent curriculum. Although education is very important in being a teacher, what I find even more important is to actually listen to the child. They know how they learn and even more so, talking and listening builds confidence and aids in better communication skills which again helps their education and translating their needs. I cant wait to play with children and have a conversation making them feel safe and confident.
