I first started working at the Adirondack ARC and I fell in love, it was the most rewarding job I've ever hard I think that I personally learned more those years than the boys and girls did from me. I have a family member with Down syndrome and she is the funniest speak your mind person you will ever meet. I do know some sign language as I have lot most of it over the years. I have work with a variety of different special needs individuals from mild to sever. I've had to do wheelchair transfers with and without hoyer lift. I am not afraid to learn if I don't know or have not heard of something I will look it up and do some research on it. I love being a nurse and having the ability to help others.
