Thank you for looking at my bio! My degree in Special Education provides me with skills necessary to work with children with mild to moderate disabilities and, in addition, I have considerable experience with people with severe disabilities. During my career I have taught students with mild learning disabilities and also students with moderate intellectual disabilities that require significant accommodations to allow success in the classroom. I have successfully taught basic life skills and academic subjects to a diverse student body with a range of disabilities. Throughout this time, my mentors, supervisors and principals consistently praised my ability to maintain a high-level of learning, enjoyment and discipline in classrooms where such expectations were typically bleak.
